It can be recalled that the singer who ventured into music in October 2012, with the release of her singles, 'Hi' and 'Itz Ova', which got tongues wagging, later signed to the label some time in late November 2014. Unidentified gunmen in the early hours of Thursday stormed Mgbuitanwo, in Emohua Clan, Emohua Local Government Area of the Rivers State and beheaded 28 years- old man boy and abducted another resident of the area. It was the home country of the Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) in the Saturday’s rerun elections, Chief Andrew Uchendu. The Nation learnt that the gunmen who laid siege to the community also whisked away one of its victims to an unknown destination. An eyewitness Mr. Nwoka James said: “The assailants entered the community in what is suspected to be a cult reprisal and mercilessly murdered a young man of about 28 years identified as Mr. Ukeoma and abducted one Mr. Eruchi. “As I am talking with you now people are running away from the community, and I don’t think anybody will be ready to vote by Saturday with what has just happened,” he said. The Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) has taken back 20 vessels belonging to the agency, in the custody of Government Ekpemupolo, also known as Tompolo. Tompolo bought the vessels under a private-public partnership agreement with NIMASA. Industry watchers say NIMASA’s move is linked with Tompolo indictment in various fraud investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). Asource who spoke to Daily Trust about the development, said “These ships are mounted with guns and those in charge are being investigated. The management thought it wise to take over the ships so that they will not be used to cause any breach of security in the Niger Delta region. “The ships were purchased by Global West under a Purchase Operate and Transfer agreement it had with NIMASA. Those who man the vessels are naval personnel who are authorized by the constitution to police the waterways.

The Muhammadu Buhari administration, through the Bank of Industry, on Thursday formally launched a N10 billion Youths Entrepreneurship Support (YES) project to empower youth with loans to start businesses. Speaking at the launch of the project in Abuja, the Minister for Industry, Trade and Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, said his ministry would partner all agencies of government to create new jobs. He said more than 40 per cent of Nigerian graduates had no jobs and that an average of eight million Nigerians entered the job market annually. The minister said that the ‘YES’ project of BoI was part of the Federal Government’s youth employment scheme, saying that about 36,000 jobs would be created annually through ‘YES’. He appealed to prospective beneficiaries to repay the loans for the success and sustenance of the project. A 69 year old herbalist, Chief Simon Odo , who married an 18 year old girl, Chidinma , as his 57 th wife last November has said that he would not marry again, having had a fair of women in his life . Chidinma was married from Okutu , in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. Odo , also known variously as Onuwa, King Solomon of Africa or King of Satan was however married to 68 women but some of them had earlier died .
